Green Tourism is the UK's leading sustainable tourism certification scheme. It recognises businesses that are committed to operating in an environmentally and socially responsible way — from reducing energy and waste to supporting local communities and celebrating local culture.
Businesses are independently assessed and awarded a Bronze, Silver, or Gold grading based on their sustainability practices across a wide range of criteria.
We're proud to hold Bronze status and are actively working towards achieving Silver — continually improving our sustainability practices and demonstrating that a small, independent Scottish tearoom can make a real difference, one cup of tea at a time.

We source our ingredients from local Scottish suppliers wherever possible — reducing food miles, supporting local farmers, and ensuring the freshest quality for our customers. From our eggs at Hillwood Farm in Thankerton to our Aberdeen Angus beef, we know exactly where our food comes from.
Reducing Waste
We are committed to minimising waste in everything we do. From careful portion planning to composting food waste, we continually look for ways to reduce our environmental footprint and operate more sustainably day to day.
Sustainable Suppliers
Our tea is sourced from Eteaket — an Edinburgh-based ethical tea company committed to responsible sourcing and sustainability.
