Community Initiatives
Supporting Our Local Community
Giving Back to Lanark
At Teatime Cafe, we believe in being more than just a place to eat and drink. We're proud to be part of the Lanark community and actively support local initiatives that make our town a better place for everyone.
25% Discount for Key Workers
We want to show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of those who serve our communities every day.
Local businesses, Police, NHS, and Fire Service can enjoy a 25% discount on all hot drinks with valid identification.
Thank you for everything you do for Lanark!
Lanark Grammar S6 Art Mural Project
We're excited to be working with Lanark Grammar S6 Art Department on a special project to design and paint a mural on the Teatime Cafe wall.
This mural will represent Lanark's rich history while providing real-life work experience for young people venturing into their careers. It's a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talent and contribute to our town's visual heritage.
Teatime will make a donation to the school to support this initiative.
Tea Cosy Charity Initiative
We've reached out to talented knitters in our community to create beautiful tea cosies for use in the cafe. For each tea cosy we receive, we make a donation to a charity of the creator's choice.
We're delighted to have already received our first tea cosy, and £15 was donated to a Children's Cancer Charity as a result.
If you're a knitter and would like to contribute, we'd love to hear from you!
Supporting Lanimer Celebrations
Lanark's annual Lanimer celebrations are a highlight of our community calendar, bringing everyone together for a fantastic week of festivities.
We're proud to support this tradition with a donation box available in the cafe for Lanimer Celebrations, helping to ensure the community can continue delivering a great week of celebrations for years to come.
Every contribution helps make Lanimer special!
🎉 Lanimer Day is here — enjoy the celebrations!
Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust — Yearly Donation
We are proud to make a yearly donation to the Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust, an independent charity that provides volunteer drivers to take cancer patients to hospital appointments, clinics, and day-care facilities — completely free of charge.
LCCT offers patients and their carers living in the NHS Lanarkshire area free transport to hospitals for life-saving treatment such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, specialist clinic appointments, complimentary and alternative therapy centres, and day care facilities.
